Powerful earthquake hits Tibet's holy city of Shigatse, dozens killed
A 6.8 magnitude earthquake struck Dingri county, Tibet, near the Nepal border at 9:05 am local time Tuesday, killing at least 53 and destroying many buildings, state media said. While earthquakes are common in the region, Tuesday's quake was the most powerful recorded within a 200-kilometre radius in the last five years
