Many Latin American fighters have joined Ukraine’s armed forces since Russia's invasion in February 2022. And many of them post about it on social media, especially on TikTok. While some of them appear satisfied with their experience, others are more critical. What drives these Latin Americans, especially Colombians, to join the conflict in Ukraine? And why do their experiences sometimes turn into a nightmare? The France 24 Observers team investigated this little-known dimension of the war in Ukraine.
